This is right across from Wilton High School. â€‹I am conveniently located close to Westport, Norwalk, Weston, Redding, Easton, Fairfield, New Canaan, Stamford, Darien, Ridgefield, Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury and Greenwich for in-person therapy.

Q:What do I need to do to book my first session?

To book your first session, email me at QuietLightCounseling@gmail.com or you can call or text me at 203.589.1217. I am the only one who answers my calls and emails, so you will always hear back directly from me. Once we connect via email/text/phone, we will schedule your first appointment!

Q:What will my first session be like?

Your first session is really for us to get to know one another. I will tell you about my practice and you can ask any questions you would like. Most importantly, I will get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. I never expect my clients to go into a deep dive into their lives in our first session. Our first session will focus on you as a person and how you have been feeling lately. I will also ask you about the goals you have for therapy. I promise to make it as comfortable and easy as possible, especially if this is your first time coming to therapy.

Q:How often will I need to come to therapy?

Initially, we will meet once a week. It’s important to do this in the beginning so that we can gain momentum in our sessions together. Once we feel you are making progress in meeting your goals, we can usually drop down to bi-weekly sessions.

Q:Who do you work with?

My two main focuses as a therapist are pregnancy and postpartum therapy and couples counseling. My work is focused on adult clients.

Q:How long do appointments last?

A typical 1:1 therapy appointment is 50 minutes. My couples counseling sessions are 75 minutes.

Q:How much do you charge?

Individual client sessions are $150 for 50 minutes

Couples counseling sessions are $200 for 75 minutes

Our first session will be an intake session which requires a bit more time together. Please contact me directly to discuss this or any concerns about fees.

Q:Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance. I assist clients in getting reimbursed for “out of network” benefits if their insurance plan permits this. I will promptly provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Q:Do you prescribe medication?

No, I am not a medical doctor. Some of my clients find medication is helpful but many also find relief with talk therapy. If you would like me to work with your primary care physician or refer you to a psychiatrist to discuss medication, I am happy to do that. I think it is very important to coordinate care with your other medical providers when necessary.

Q:How can therapy help me?

There are many benefits to therapy. Therapists can provide objective support which can offer you a fresh perspective on a problem you have been struggling with. Therapists can help you develop problem solving skills or coping skills to help you find relief if you are dealing with anxiety or depression. During therapy, we can also work on your self-esteem, self-care and gaining a better understanding of yourself. I love helping my clients gain insight on their lives and patterns of behavior. Therapy can also help with improving your communication skills, conflict resolution style, and managing/understanding the emotions you may be feeling. Most importantly, I will be your support system as you work toward the changes that you identify as important in your life.
